when I am away from my computer for a few minutes my background picture comes up...?
I have a background picture of my car, and if there is no activity for a few minutes it will pop up and I can't get back to what I was doing like it's stuck or something and I have to unplug the computer and turn it back on again and start all over again? But if I it is scanning my screen saver will pop up and I just hit a button or wiggle my mouse and I can continue working without starting it up again. I can't even go to the bathroom for a long period of time..LOL because I am afraid I will have to unplug it and load up again. What do I do?
I don't know if this helps any but I have a dell intel (windows xp) sorry I don't know much about computers. Oh and I have comcast high speed internet I think 3g or mb something like that not sure..
Since you do not know much about computers, I believe that it would be wise to just turn off the screen savers.
Right click your Desktop --> Properties --> Screen Saver Tab and choose none for Screen Saver.
Alternatively, Click Start --> Control Panel --> Display --> Screen Saver Tab and choose none for Screen Saver.
Also, check your Power Management in Control Panel. Disable monitor off, hard disk off and stand by to ensure that your computer does not turn off anything until you tell it.
