Latest Canada Tourism Video Shot In Northumberland UK

Footage of a girl walking along the Canada coastline on a still day has been revealed to have been filmed in Northumberland, England.

This footage was in fact part of a larger tourism promotion production that was costing the Alberta tourist board around $30m. It was intended to show the best features of the Alberta province in Canada and increase levels of Canada holidays in the region. However, when a Canadian man called Peter Bailey saw the film and tried to track down the location to do a bit of sailing, it soon dawned on him that he would have a problem. His initial thoughts were that the beach was on the edge of one of Canada's vast lakes but a North Sea coast in England turned out to be nearer the truth. Knowing that Alberta was landlocked and its centre was around 400 miles from the nearest coast, Bailey took the matter further.
The tourism board for Northumberland saw the funny side of the story when they were told. “ we think it’s quite humorous - the fact that Canadians want to present one of their landlocked areas as having a coastline" said Sheelagh Caygill. Most people in Northumberland as well are more honoured than upset. Saying that it’s great that Canada views this part of the world beautiful enough to use as their own.

A more defence position was taken by the government in Ottawa when Bailey took his discovery to them. It was used by us simply to “symbolise the fact Albertans are a worldly people” stated a spokesman.Tom Olson who looks after media relations for the Prime Minister suggested “There's no attempt to mislead here. The video was used by us just as an aid to the mood and feel of the marketing material."

Instead of taking the segment of the film out, statements suggest that the production will now include a thank you note to the Northumberland Tourist board. It goes without saying that many are embarrassed about the revelation and just prey is blows over before long. Among other promotional sets that Canada has recently released include one marketing Alaskan cruises and there will surely be people keeping an eagle eye out for passing flamingos in the Alaskan cruises film

What resistor should i use for my LED board?

Hi. I have an LED board with 24 blue +3.3V LEDs on. All 24 of the LEDs are in parallel. My source voltage is +5V.

How many ohms resistor should i use for the LED board?

What wattage resistor should i use?

Thanks.

You can be a cowboy and almost choose a resistor value at random (82 sounds like a good number...?!) or you can do it properly:

You need to know the current drawn by each LED when it's at 3.3V. The manufacturer should supply this information along with the forward voltage, 3.3. Then use ohm's law to work out the resistor value. If you want to use only one resistor, you'll have to multiply the current per LED by 24. The fewer the resistors the higher the power rating needed, so you can look for the most cost-efficient if you want.

resistance = voltage drop / ( current * number_of_LEDs_for_this_resistor )

In your case, 'voltage drop' is 5V - 3.3V = 1.7V.

Then for power use:

voltage drop * ( current * number_of_LEDs_for_this_resistor )

You probably won't find the exact resistor value you're looking for. Typically the higher the wattage, the fewer the values available. Choose the closest value, but try to keep it within 10% of what it should be - the LEDs will almost regulate themselves within reasonable voltages.

Naperville District 203 on boundary maps: 'We screwed up' (Arlington Heights Daily Herald)

Naperville District 203 officials led off Monday night's meeting with a series
of apologies for the way it communicated Friday new district boundary maps
that included the closing of both Ellsworth Elementary and Washington junior
high schools. "Unfortunately, in our efforts to be transparent, you're seeing
the sausage being made," said board President Mike Jaensch. "There is stuff in
there that...
